Dear new customer,

I am pleased that you are considering Head to Tail to groom your dog(s). I am proud to say that my staff and I are deeply committed to the welfare and comfort of your pet and that the majority of the dogs we groom every day are loyal customers of many years. 

I would like to lay out some elements about our business and services that may help you determine whether or not Head to Tail is right for you and your dog.

-        We are a BUSY grooming shop with all the noise, flying hair and smells it entails. We do try our best to keep these within tolerable levels though J.
-   Booking priority is given to existing customers with a regular grooming schedule. Depending on the time of the year, available slots may be limited for new customers. Please plan a few weeks ahead of time.
-        Our average completion time is 4 hours. We may be able to groom your dog in less time if medically necessary upon prior notice.

-        We will not de-mat new customers’ dogs beyond 15 minutes.

-        We are located on a busy downtown street with limited parking. If it is available, you may be able to park in our driveway or block it for a few minutes while keeping your hazard lights on.

-        For the safety of all customers, we crate all dogs upon arrival and do not allow any contact between dogs from different families.

-        If your dog barks when crated, we ask that you make arrangements to pick up your dog as soon as possible upon completion so as to keep noise levels down for the welfare of our staff and the other canine customers.

-        We will prioritize comfort and safety over looks especially when grooming elderly dogs and puppies.

-        If you are more than 30 minutes late and have not notified us by phone, we will try to fill your appointment and you may have to reschedule.

-        While we strive for consistency in grooming styles, there may be slight variations in styling from one time to another due to coat conditions and dog behavior.

-        We do not groom dogs that bite. We will be happy to advise you on other grooming options.

Lastly, we believe that your dog benefits best from the consistency of being groomed at a familiar place. Please consider this carefully before deciding on changing groomers as most of us appreciate feedback and will try our hardest to keep your business. We are happy to answer any questions you may have.
